awta. they will be circumspect enough as it is due to the series lead and what 5outhee and Boult have done to them. Needed a flirtatious declaration to entice some drives.
If they block out 125 overs, then fair play to Sri Lanka. There will be chances in that amount of time, we just need to make sure we take them.

There are 125 possible overs, I would have been much more comfortable setting them 380 off 115 overs if we could have.
They'll never bowl that many. Even if we have perfect weather for the rest of the test, I reckon we'll be at least 10 overs behind the over rate by the end of tomorrow. Then there's the bad light factor. Doubt there'll be more than 110 overs tops.

Southee on fire this tour. Trouble is SL will now shut up shop as Dilshan was their best chance of a flyer to keep up with the rate allowing for time they will lose.

Oops it was Pirana. Me just going off your posts and not having seen the wicket on cricinfo lol

Paranavitana has been out first ball a few times now in tests, hasn't he? Wonder who holds the record for that.

Also is Southee the new Kaspa? Great in the subcontinent, crap everywhere else.
