Yup, I think we managed to prank Llong into that one. It was a weird one though, I thought I heard something when they just replayed it at full speed again but saw nothing on the slow-mo earlier. Would likely have been reversed if they had DRS.

Well he walked didn't he?

I'm sure the batsman himself is the best judge of whether he actually hit the ball or not.

Boult to Mathews, OUT, Caught at second slip! It was a length ball going across Angelo, who tried to hit it hard towards the leg side and got an outside edge that flew fast towards Guptill, who took a reflex catch in front of his face

Yeah I agree. The more I see it the less I believe it was out. As Russel Arnold points out Taylor didn't really think it was out either. Pretty sure the combo of Astle's love for appealing and Kruger wanting to shout about anything that beats the bat tricked the ump.

Andrew Fernando @andrewffernando
Lot of guts in that fifty from Mathews. Sadly for him it might come to nothing, given what has happened at the other end. #slvnz

Phlegm's favourite journo tastling it hard.

Mathews is a proper cricketer alright. Seems to have a game for all conditions & I expect big things from him in Australia.

Hmm, did I detect a little reverse in that last over from Braces with the ball 72 overs old?
