I know he's not very good and I still think it was a pretty silly selection but I can't help but love Todd Astle as a cricketer. Beautifully technically correct batsman who doesn't actually score any runs and a slow burning bluffer of a spin bowler; I can love someone like that no matter how bad they are.
![]() Haters can tastle it.

Can't tell on the place where it's time for cricket due to a resolution of about 2x2, but everyone seems convinced and there was no "you've got to be ****ing kidding me" look from Jaya.

Gotta agree with Brian Megatron here. I know Astle is very much a work in progress as a pure bowler, isn't amazing right now and has come on when the match situation was massively in our favour, but Sri Lanka, very good players of spin, have respected him when before the match upon seeing a leggie on debut and consdering their difficulty with our quicks they would have targeted him for some Tahir style smokin'. That's a big tick in my book, even if he never plays another test.
