I'd be absolutely seething if I was David Hussey though. Especially seeing as though the reason given by the NSP was Quiney's consistency over the past few years and he is in the same team!. It's probably going to be a short term replacement as well, which surely would have worked in Hussey's favour. I mean this is a guy who has 41 FC hundreds, so if this wasn't his best chance to make a test debut, then I don't know what is. Would be livid.

Can only assume you've never seen David Hussey play cricket if you're advocating him to make his debut against South Africa. He would get bounced out within two seconds.

if I was David Hussey i'd be seething because i'd be a shook bitch who can't play the short ball
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Na I would have probably gone with Khawaja. I'm just saying from his pov he must have been feeling pretty pissed.

You have to be a pretty knowledgeable individual to successfully nominate Rob Quiney as your Non-capped player to get a game by end of summer:

Think a few of us made some predictions in the aus domestic thread.

Averages in the high 40s over the past 2 years, however.

Significantly better than, say, Pete Forrest.

Howard, the bloke you nominated Ferguson averages in the 30s too.

Cricketers shouldn't be punished for starting their domestic careers poorly. Quiney has obviously had to work very hard just to gain selection in the Victorian shield side often batting at 6 or 7 and only really had the opportunity to bat in the top order when Nick Jewell retired.

Since then, he has been the most solid opening bat in the country, being named domestic player of the year last year so I'm happy enough with the decision to name him as stand-by for a top 3 spot.

Yeah, you can't keep 'punishing' a player for what he's done in his FC career if he's obviously improved his stats recently. I honestly believe that just watching a player over a short period of time can give you a 'feel' for how they'd cope in a more high-pressurised enviroment (test cricket).
