Congrats Ed for maiden Century; pretty unfortunate way to get out
Not really unfortunate. His backing up is woeful. Tubby went on about it for an over and a half earlier today. He just strolls out of the crease, looking down at the ground with the bat in the wrong hand and in no position to get back if something like this occurs.

Funny how the commentators were discussing Cowan wandering out of his crease too early as well as having the bat in the wrong hand before lunch, and then Cowan ended up getting out because of that reason.

edit: beaten.

lol, but serious...in summary: a day of domination by the batsmen, much like Amla/Kallis vs us, pitch doing nothing, bowlers doing nothing. Cowen basically seamless, Clarke occasionally lucky, but otherwise...
I've been busy as catching up so haven't been watching closely, but I'm very confident in saying that one thing of great difference is there has been entertainment on offer.

As I always say at times like this, just because Clarke didn't feel it doesn't mean he didn't hit it.
