All Time ODI Draft

Red

The normal awards that everyone else has
smalishah84:- Joel Garner, Hashim Amla, Courtney Walsh, Javed Miandad, Mohammad Yusuf, Chaminda Vaas, Rahul Dravid, Stephen Fleming, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Gavin Larsen, Upul Chandana.

So, my final XI then, ended up being pretty decent

Hashim Amla
Romesh Kaluwitahrana+
Rahul Dravid
Javed Miandad
Stephen Fleming*
Mohammad Yousuf
Upul Chandana
Chaminda Vaas
Gavin Larsen
Joel Garner
Courtney Walsh

A decent outfit and to make sure that they punch above their weight Stephen Fleming to lead them :p
**** hot outfit. Amla, Miandad, Vaas and Garner all particularly good ODI players.

Will be even better if Fleming can work on his tan this summer...

Play Fleming as an opener instead of Romesh. Yousuf is probably a place too low for a player of his class.

AWTA, you need a proper finisher as well imo, even though you have Chandana. Gun bowling though.

Mark Waugh
Graeme Smith
Ricky Ponting
Virat Kohli
Allan Border
Yuvraj Singh
Alec Stewart

Romesh will blast the runs in the first 15 overs. It is easy to forget that Jayasuriya wouldn't have been quite as effective if Kalu wasn't at the other end IMO. Also a very quick wk.

Yousuf can bat up the order if need be but I don't see the need for him to come ahead of Dravid or Miandad. Chandana can smash a few good blows to up the rate and Vaas can do some slogging too. The tail is a proper tail with Garner Walsh and Larsen but all three are tremendously economical bowlers who will give nothing away in any conditions.

yeah, my spinner is my only weak link, but the other 4 are sure to put tremendous pressure on the opposition.

Pretty good batting but for ODIs your bowling will be walloped. I can see Jayasuriya slashing Marshall for 6 over point in the first 15 overs :p

Your middle order is damn awesome though. Ponting, Kohli and Yuvi can wreak havoc

I know its not the best, but you are talking like its Debashish Mohanty and Abey Kuruvilla :D

I asked this before too. How did Holding win a World Cup if he was such a **** ODI bowler? Its a genuine question.

Aldo, Micheal Holding was a good ODI bowler but Marshall and Steyn will have to hide behind Holding there.

As I said earlier, you have a fantastic batting unit but your bowlers will find it a bit difficult to adjust there in shorter format.

Played for a gun team. Sreesanth has won a world cup. But it doesn't take away from the fact that he has the worst economy in ODI history.

I really like your team KK but while Oram is usually really economical, he does have his fair share of days where he's extremely hittable, so it would've been nice if you had a sixth bowling option in your top order to cover for that.

Damien Martyn & Virender Sehwag are there to cover Oram's blues ;) and yeah I have a fine bowler in mind for 12th pick.
