When he's got 77 pls
Tough chance - quite a gap between keeper and slip though.
haha. Beats the bat all day, finally gets an edge and Jonoboy spills it.
I imagine that if and when he gets there, this will be Pietersen's slowest ODI 50. Even in Tests he usually goes quicker. Need him to stay there now, though. Buttler is pretty much an unknown quantity at this level - not the same as bashing it around for 4 or 5 overs in T20.
Not Shami Ahmed's day today.
KP starting to find his range now - and 12 off the over. Root looking good too.
More of those please.
Root looks quality.
All of a sudden, Yuvraj is not bowling at all!
RIP Phil Hughes. Forever 63*
Impressive from young Root. Can't bowl spinners in the last 5 with these sort of field restrictions.
Could overtake KP at this rate ... certainly surprising those who first saw him grinding out a 5-hour 70 at Nagpur.
Yeah Root can seriously bat. We've only really seen him in roles I imagined hie'd be completely unsuited to (#6 Test batsman in India, then a frontline bowler, now a #6 ODI batsman in India FFS) and he's still been seriously impressive. A serious talent it seems.
