International Captain
82 off the last six overs, safe to say that went down well with a full house.

Very tough chase with the wicket expected to get slower.

This is why the number 7 doing decently with the bat is crucial. If Jadeja can do this consistently he'll be crucial in the team.

But he needs to do it consistently with bat and ball and also away from home where he has been abysmal.

Damn, great partnership between Dhoni and Jadeja. Jadeja needs to play shots like that more, instead of trying to muscle the ball 75% of the time like he does in the IPL, would be more successful as a finisher that way. Wasn't very good bowling though.

Any batsman who can do this consistently will be crucial to their teams :p
Haha yeah, but he was just dudding before this consistently with the bat.

Now he'll be in the Indian team till the Champions trophy where he won't be upto that much with the ball either, so needs to keep this up consistently.

Is there anyone who plays reprehensibly dumb shots more often than Ian Bell? Like, even within the same ballpark?

Thank you

Actually, Salisbury's economy rate was superior to Dernbach's, although JB takes slightly more wickets.

And Salisbury did only play four of these games. I still think we'd struggle to find a worse performer in, say, over a dozen ODIs. I reckon even the much maligned Plunkett and Mahmood had more idea.

Think I definitely would prefer Plunkers, Saj on about a par though.

Afridi is different in that he's a nutcase, though. He plays crazy shots rather than stupid ones where you think "what were you actually trying to achieve there?". Or, at least, it's a different kind of stupid, a "really should have known better" stupid in Bell's case
