Interesting Jimmeh was putting right-handed.
I know Lara used to play golf with his right so it wouldn't affect his batting, but surprised Anderson is that serious about his. Anyway Compton and Trott both LBW to spin. Handy practice for the test series, etc. Crackinfo's batting line ups irk me no end too; Panesar and Onions are listed ahead of Patel and Bresnan. Really? Is that likely to happen?

It's possible his father or youth coach just came from the 'top hand dominant' school of thought and made him bat left handed. He's clearly a right handed individual, so he probably did a bit of golfing as a kid too and developed the distinction. Was probably more serious about his batting when he was first learning the respective games than he is now, too.

Indian bowling has been made to look as bad and worse over the last year and a half, albeit in foreign conditions. Don't be too surprised if we've just about managed to get them into decent form..it's not like we're going to be springing some great, unheralded brown bowling hope on them in the Tests.

This is an England lineup with no real class batsmen bar KP, playing in SC conditions and where we have plenty of experience. The lineup of Haryana bar Mishra (who is not a regular himself) has players who are not even ranji regulars. So yes, our bowling lineup will fair much better. Naturally, England have also struggled to dismiss us cheaply. Again, they will face world class batsmen when the test matches start. Last edited by ViruTheBest; 08-11-2012 at 05:33 AM. |
