sehwag to get out to bresnan playing a rank shot in the 2nd over.

don't think he's played an awful shot thus far in the series iirc, which he typically does every so often, so he's due

No. I can bet on that. He'll definitely get a farewell series. Whether he deserves that or not is a different story, but he will..

Agree with what Pews has said over the past 2/3 pages re. the pitch/Sehwag/Sachin and co..

Said the same a bit after start of play today, but impressions of this pitch would have been different had Sehwag been batting first and firing.

Should've picked Raina.

PEWS is frothing at the bung hole (according to himself) at the thought of Sehwag batting on this pitch.

I get the feeling that all this **** frothing will be for nothing

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

that would be the most selfish thing to do.
he'd be doing his team no favours as the side would be better of grooming a younger player like rahena, r sharma etc

plus he'd be tarnishing his image like never before if he got a whole farewell series (4 tests against australia) instead of maybe just a farewell test.

I didn't mean it as in I was sure he was going to score heaps. I'm "fizzing at the bung" as I said in anticipation of how India handle it, because it's such an unknown at the moment. I'm excited to see what happens.

Is this the best possible pitch if desperate for an Indian win?

Adelaide/Colombo flat would make it a draw, turning pitch has demonstrably been favoring an English win, Dinda and Sharma being our seamers, a green is out of the question.

I know it's a bad test wicket as such but is it the best possible wicket from an Indian POV?

wait till the end of the day's play tomorrow. i'm sure we will have found out by then.

does anyone think india made a serious mistake by going in with just ishant and not dinda as well? (dinda was next in line to be picked)
