I would understand Jadeja playing if we were playing 2 pacers. But this is ridiculous. Seems like they looked at the cricinfo team and thought how it could be made worse and came up with this team.

This is the worst selected team of my lifetime. It makes no logical sense.

I'd like to see Kohli with the new ball actually.

Yeah even Andrew Hilditch would probably have a chuckle at this one. Four spinners and Ishant Sharma on pitch which is obviously going to reverse... one has to wonder

Jadeja balances the side though, it's Chawla who's the complete surprise, at least for the fans because apparently Cricinfo were saying he was a favourite pick, why I have no idea.

Chawla just took 1/108 on this very pitch against Vidarbha.

Yes, lets toss him into a Test match against England. He should go just fine.

Wow.

Obviously the new spin quartet are better because they can bat also!

Jadeja's selection completely makes sense, but I just hope he's used as a front-line spinner.

Surprised and very pleased that Root is selected. I like Samit but he is never going or be a test match batsman.

Even happier that we won the toss, let's not **** if up now please.
