Front-foot play is non-existent, and is playing everything late with feet stuck to the crease. been very tentative, probably the fear of not scoring runs again is making him play this way.

all in all, he's in wretched form. good on him for fighting it out amidst excellent bowling but this should be his last series without a doubt.

Wasn't attempting a jinx, just saying it as I see it. Good track, fast outfield and bowlers will tire through the last session enabling him to make fast runs.

Sachin crosses his average!

Don't think this will be his last series. Read an article somewhere that explained why India needs Sachin to tour RSA. Made a lot of sense. Can't throw a fresh face into the deep end like that, it's doubtful they'd do any better, and failure would wreck their confidence. Plus Sachin is still sharp in the field, has a lot of experience that he can pass onto the likes of Kohli, Ashwin and Ojha in the dressing room, and it's not like there are any candidates banging on the door to replace him at number 5. Heck, the number 6 position is still unsettled and the openers are an issue too.

I think Tendulkar will retire when he absolutely must. When it becomes apparent that his presence his preventing younger, better talent from breaking through, and when he is weighing the team down. ATM, that is not the case.

As for UV...he's looking not fully comfortable out there, but is still scoring at a quick rate, and hasn't given many chances. Looking edgy but hanging on and getting runs. He's most vulnerable at the start of his innings, he could be dangerous for England once he gets in. Hopefully he doesn't throw it away with a loose shot.

Can tell Yuvraj is getting confident now, playing attacking strokes.

320 a/o IMO.

Dhoni to get out for less than 20 by missing/edging a forward defence.
