Broad is like Pakistan's selection of Junaid Khan in the UAE. We'd have won that Test with any English-qualified person in Broad's place.
Whoops, i appear to have opened the door to 2008

I'd throw in Meaker for Broad if Finn isn't fit. Just think he'd add some variety and pace to the attack. I rate Onions, but I'm not sure if he'd suit Indian conditions.

Don't know how you guys find the time. These days I am so tired that I can't be bothered to watch any cricket.

Personally I'd bring Bell in for Patel and Bresnan in for Broad. Though I wouldn't mind if Onions was brought in, we'd benefit from someone of his bowling style I think. Although if it's another big turner it won't make much difference...

And we, at Cricket Web, are thankful for that

1 point for whichever country has the highest wicket taker over the course of the series Ojha leads the way with 9
    1 point for series win
.5 for Highest scorer each match - Pujara's 206* gives Jono the half point
.5 highest wicket taker each match Ojha takes 9 wickets, same as all England's bowlers combined, so another half point to Jono.

    Furball 0-3 Jono
    2 points to Furball
    3-3 in the centurion stakes
Swann and Ojha tied on most wickets
    1-1 in series
    .5 to me for KP's 186
    .5 to me for Monty's 11 wickets

    Furball 3-3 Jono

Finn played the home series in 2010, and didn't play the series in the UAE because we went with 2 spinners and he's not as good as Anderson or Broad.

I was actually complimenting guys for being so dedicated and me being so envious, but you have to act like a dick.

And don't think Smali's technique of putting a Smiley at the end negates the whole comment.

A bit hard to argue that someone with 43 test wickets @ 43 a piece is clearly a superior pick to someone with 408 wickets at 32. Personally, never found Mishra anywhere close to test class, and whilst I can understand the logic of picking a younger unproven spinner over Harbhajan, I dont necessarily think that picking someone with his experience and skill on a raging turner was a catastrophic decision.

I was not advocating picking Mishra..I just wanted to know what people think of Mishra and whether he is considered a prospect... Personally for me the last great Indian spinner retired in 2008..since then all are blah.

there's just an insane amount of test cricket going on atm. If all matches last 5 days, we'll have at least a test a day until 10th Dec, followed by a 2 day break following which the madness begins again.

    Love it.

on the flip side that is a problem.

fast bowlers are falling apart faster than anything because of the excessive amount of cricket being played, which is degrading the standard/quality of cricket.

i'd prefer to watch teams at full-strength at the expense of fewer games than the other way around
