Haha yeah. Pretty much half the posts on CW about subcontinental wicketts are pretty poor.

There is turn, but it's not a minefield. Pretty flat still IMHO.
The odd ball has done more than others but it is still a decent track to bat on. Would any Indian be bothered by this pitch? Big fat emphatic NO.

Gooch and Flower need to be taken to task as it isn't though they haven't had long enough to sort the batting line up out in conditions like this.

Who has even said the word dustbowl? Again, its not black and white. If a pitch isn't a dustbowl in India its not automatically flat.

This is turning and was turning on day 1. Swann got 4 wickets against the Indian batting lineup on day 1. That is proof its turning more than usual and can be difficult to bat on.

Yeah, The pitch is certainly not a minefield but I'd say it's a good pitch as opposed to a dead one that people were going on about - Offering a considerable amount to the bowlers and rewarding batsmen who work themselves in.

It's certainly not as dead and lifeless as was being said when Sehwag was hitting England around for fun.

Ashwin hard done by with 3-80, tbh. Has been the bowler of the match so far.

Your avatar here or at cricsim? Haven't you lost your avatar here for years and years?

It's funny that I'm surprised to see a seamer bowling the first over.
