A great day two for the England bowlers - I really don't know much about any of them bar Miles, but it looks like Oli Stone used his options pretty well. Would hope we can close it out from here.

A surprising number of 17 year olds playing. Josh Shaw was born in the obscenely recent 1996.

Tremlett on the indoor nets at the Oval must be the most terrifying thing ever. Thank God they've got the mats out to reduce the bounce.

First couple from the big fella looked a wee bit tentative, but seemed as tho he was building a head of steam as he went.

Last one looked a bit spicey.

Love to see him in the XI come the Ashes.

Yeah would be great to see him back, you still think it is a bit unlikely but I had all but given up on his chances a few years ago so you never know.

I can remember 1996 vividly.

It doesn't make sense for anyone born that recently to be toilet trained, let alone playing international cricket.

Confirmed. Frightening to think he's in/was in the same year as me at school.

I know a girl born in 1995 who became eligible to vote over the weekend. How does that make you feel?

Yeah the fact that and her are very close in age came up once before; I can't actually remember why though.

Wait, that means you registered when you were 12?

Actually, that's not at all surprising. It explains this too.

You're not missing out on anything and you can't make a difference.
