Some interesting matches going on this round. Lot of result pitches and some even 2 day pitches.

Pujara has double tonned up in 4 hours. Tough conditions in a low scoring match.

It seems he is toying with the best bowler of the season, Ishwar Pandey too.

Bouncer by Ishwar Pandey - YouTube

Looks a good bowler from what i saw during the last round. Pankaj Singh type of bowler almost.

Has 48 wickets from 8 matches this season in the Elite Group.

Pujara's knock sounds beastly considering how the rest of the match has panned out.

Quote:
His first fifty came in in 88 balls, the second in 63, the third in 51, and the final one in just 17.

Pujara wag!

An advantage of not picking him in odis is him being able to do this

Should be picked for the ODI team, imo.

Might work as a opener too.

Tendulkar, Yusuf add to clash of surviviors | Cricket News | Ranji Trophy | ESPN Cricinfo

Sachin's going to be playing his 2nd game for Mumbai this year in the QFs. Zaheer's out though unfortunately which is a definite blow to them.

Interesting that in the possible lineups Cricinfo have 'India' as the header in place of 'Mumbai'...

Tendulkar batting now against Baroda. Didn't know that he averages 90 in Ranji matches.

Yeah, has a Bradmanesque average in it.

Lol @ Crowd. They are making it pretty clear who they want to watch.

Decent crowd out there for a normal Ranji game, and this match is probably being telecast due to Sachin playing too.

Murtaza Vahora bowls a straight one that does nothing and sneaks past Tendulkar, knocking over off for a fair distance.

Jaffer, on the other hand, has played a knock that's good enough for ODIs, should the need arise to call him up. He's been amongst the runs, though not as emphatic as his former teammate Amol Mazumdar.

Was a decent workout for Tendulkar though. Played some good shots from what i saw in between while reaching a ton.

The Crowd was basically there for him only too.

Yusuf is being lazy. He's the highest wicket-taker for Baroda, but isn't bowling at all, while some of the five bowlers picked are hardly cutting through batting sides.
