I think putting one other batsman there in place of Kapil would make the team stronger

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Was thinking the same with Inzi, or even Kumble as the second spinner in s/c conditions.

If players can only be picked to play in their best positions, does this mean I can only pick one of Bradman, Ponting and Harvey in an all-time Aussie xi, since they all batted at 3?
Both very good points.

Gary Kirsten doesn't even get close for me. Up against Richards, Mitchell and Smith for starters, Taylor's also there and ahead of him.

Yeh, the idea of this thread is for people to post their personal ATG teams. And then others can critique them!

What did Gary Kirsten fail to achieve for him to be ranked below Herbie Taylor in your opinion?

Barry Richards
Eddie Barlow
Peter Kirsten
Graeme Pollock
Jacques Kallis
Lee Irvine
Clive Rice
Mike Procter
Garth le Roux
Vintcent Van der Bijl

In a All time SA XI Graeme Smith do not belong as well. Neither Kirsten. But Peter does.

We normally construct an All Time Test XI.

The teams that I constructed are partially mine, but also with imput from forum members. An example of this would be Barrington as I mentioned earlier, would not be my choice, but always got the impression he was a fav of some members. Would really like to get some concensus selections so that someone could do a sim based on the teams.
