Can't imagine a combo of bowlers in an ATG team that would be better than this. Has everything.
I had extremely similar team to that, which was my ATG team.
But after thinking, I prefer post-packer players over pre-packers. They played in increasingly different conditions (players, pitches, teams, fitness)

My team,
Gavaskar
Hayden
RIchards
Lara
Waugh
Border
Gilchrist
Imran
Marshall
Warne
Steyn

Alternate Northern side has Bairstow instead of Rhodes in the middle order and then Anderson ahead of Taylor in the tail for a bit more balance. Not more Ballance though. He's from Zimbabwe

Jim Laker left out due to being from Yorkshire but playing for Surrey.

What's the cut-off incidentally?

Walcott had back trouble and gave up keeping, didn't he? Might as well pick Dravid as a keeper then. Greenidge was good but a regularly good opener, while Sehwag did things in test cricket as an opener that no one did before, regardless of pitches or his flaws. And finally, a decent leg spinner is always more useful than a off spinner of similar talent. But yeah, outside India/SL, I would play four WI fast bowlers anyway.

Greenidge was so much more than a regularly good opener, he was a great. Don't be fooled by his average, he's kind of in the Martin Crowe category of someone much better than his mid 40s average suggests, and the era in which he played, hardly anyone averaged 50. On top of that Greenidge could be absolutely devastating on his day, different, but not unlike Sehwag.

And lol @ Walcott possibly having back problems later in his career, he's still a 57 average batsmen who could keep well & did so in 15 tests, so I'd take him over Dhoni averaging 20 less any day of the week. Never rated Dhoni's batting much at Test level tbh, even though he was a champion white-ball bat.

Kumble was a very fine bowler, but I'm a big fan a Lance Gibbs after reading quite a bit from contemporaries of his time and seeing some old footage.

Happy to stick with my side.

Mr. Glass
Yeah he kept only in 15 tests and wasn't known for his keeping skills especially. An aggressive but less talented option at number seven would be better given the fact that he's a more experienced and safe keeper.

he's not a 57 average batsman when keeping.

a) GG
b) Toss of a coin - Sobers & Gilly over Kallis and Knott, make up for Bradman
c) Can't escape from Warne and Chappell either way, so probably GG overall.

I'd be more worried about who to drop for Gordon Greenidge.
