Cameron took a five wicket haul for Vic 2nd XI vs NSW a few weeks ago, put him to the top of the queue. Bowls a good out-swinger, which doesn't go every time. He's still raw, skinny tall kid, reckon he's not quite ready yet but is still only 20.

Patterson and Rohrer over Dawson and Maddison.

Learn to pick a proper team ****s. We might win a game or two.

Alteast Copeland got dropped and we played an extra batsmen. Just need to start picking the right batsmen.

Patterson average 163 with the bat FFS.

Because he is the 4th best seamer in the team.

Also is Darren Pattison retired from FC cricket? Or are the Vics just picking youth for FC cricket?

still i struggle to believe you couldn't've picked someone other than keith. seems like he'll be batting at 8 too. (i mean, he'll probably add 200 with hastings, but still)

nsw stood up for once and said to ca we can't play 6 bowlers? copeland is probably the bowler out of bollinger, starc, haze, moz and sok they care the least about so it makes sense he was dropped

Because he's not as good as the other bowlers. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that, and in this case it's not.

He has 14 wickets at 21.64 this season, better than any of the others (bar maybe Henriques).

So? And the season before he averaged like 2 or something. I'm not sure why a previous season should dictate what happens to you, especially if you've started off the new season very well.

He hasn't been dropped for a bowler he was ahead of at the start of the season in the pecking order though. After what happened last season, Dougeh, Starc and Hazelwood were ahead of him and what's happened this season certainly hasn't been enough to change that.

Considering Carters is also basically playing as specialist batsmen, there isn't really anyone else while Michael Hill is injured.
