The timing of this Shield game annoyed me. Massive fan of wasting a day or two over a weekend at the MCG watching a game.

LOL. Cant believe the retarded Vics spent the whole match bowling short pies at Punter, and didnt even dismiss him once. Having watched almost every ball Punter faced, he looked completely commanding at the crease, rock solid defence, lots of time to spare, looked damn awesome really.

You gotta wonder why Sids and Pattinson dont bowl the same lengths as they do in tests, McDermott did say they tended to bowl shorter in shield cricket, why would they revert back to that after being so successful in tests????

Will be interesting to see what the NSW side is at full strength minus Moses and Smith.

Will the forgotten man Dougie get a game and we play six bowlers. Or will they go for proper XI and pick 5 specialist bats plus Haddin and Watson. History shows we will play all our bowlers. The batting line up crumbles and bowlers get rotated to the max and never get into a grove and get smashed.

Warner
Nevill
Watson
Clarke
Maddinson
Haddin
O'Keefe
Starc
Cummins
Halzewood
Bollinger

Wish they picked either O'Keefe or Halzewood, so we could play a proper XI. **** you Australian selectors, ****ing NSW since 1877.

God that footage is infuriating. Remember raging at the TV as SA kept feeding Higgs balls in the slot and be mashed them time and again through cover, don't think they even thought to try a ball in the bowler's half.

Grr.

(Higgs looked a million bucks, though)

I know they lost their first game when Hussey and White were out, but if they can keep them available for most out the tournament and the pitches stay this good for batting, no-one is getting anywhere near this Victorian side in the Ryobi Cup. This batting lineup is just unstoppable on good tracks.

Hurts me to say it though. I hope they choke.

They'll probs lose this one imo. Cosgrove and P00ntang to put on a 295 run partnership.
