I know Lyon's been pumped at 4+/over this year and this knock he's been belted even more but, having seen him bowl a bit this year, he's not bowling anywhere near as poorly as his figures would suggest and he's still throwing them up there. Hard life being a tweaker.

scary thing is the article is probably right. will be in the aus a team and i mean if south africa can lose a T20 match to xavier doherty, they can let this ****er score a ton against them
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Ah, umm, yeah, because Doherty's spin bowling spell in a T20 in the sub continent gives us great insight into how Callum Ferguson would go as a Test batsman in Australian conditions. Great link...

Heh, as much as it sucks QLD are about to pass SA's total, that Cutting's doing it so damn easily shows up Townsend's plodding knock a bit. Of course you could make the case that Cutting only has the freedom to do this because Townsend set the platform but SHUT YOUR GODDAMN WHORE MOUTH.

You're full of ****, that's a replay from The 'Gabba.

EDIT: Okay seriously, any bationistas want to have a go at what the problem is? I mean, it's not as if he's just nicking everything outside off, that was over off when it got to him. Moving away, off a length, nick. Incredible. I'm guessing anything other than balls pitching a metre outside leg are in danger of ending up in the cordon.

Just the back leg not getting across and causing the angled bat? Fiendishly tough problem to fix but is that it?

Well in that example he completely squared himself off; really should have been playing it off the front foot too. It's actually quite different to how he usually gets out caught slip, hilarious as that may sound.

To my eyes, the squaring-up happened after he nicked it. Virtually a replay of his other dismissals but, honestly, I haven't looked that closely at them.

When I've seen other blokes do that, it's because the ball has moved a foot but by staying right back, he's allowing the ball to get big so maybe he needs to get forward or get real good at leaving the ball?
