QLD batting first just delaying the traditional SACA pre-Christmas Gabba rollover spectacular. Tipping < 150 in response to QLD's 390-odd.

This has been a crazily good innings by Cutting.
Looks far easier to bat today compared to yesterday so I can't see how SA will get under 150 TC, your 390 is looking good though.
Jesus, 168 in the session.
On the highly inevitable SA collapse, we'll see. SA's top-order is good but there's a soft middle and and very long tail.
EDIT: This is why extended morning sessions suck as a player too.

I was pretty surprised Miller got picked in the first place, but I'm even more surprised now that he's only bowled 3 out of 108 overs (so far) in the first innings. Picking him in the Shield as a specialist bat? Jeez.
Looks like he'll have to bat in the middle order too. Good luck Sam.
Just another bone-headed selection, tbh. SA did have Aaron O'Brien batting top-6 for a while and, well, Dan Christian batted top-6 too. Picking another bowling all-rounder to do the same thing, what could possibly go wrong?

Picking Dan Harris and getting him to roll the arm over would have been a better option, no ****.
QLD 398ao.
DAMN I'M GOOD.
To be fair Miller is a better batsman than he is a bowler by a little bit so I wouldn't call him a "bowling allrounder". I'm just really surprised that he's been selected if his bowling was thought of quite as lowly as it is, especially seeing he isn't going to open the batting. When I saw he'd been picked I assumed it was to be in a bits-and-pieces role so you guys could still have four seamers in the first innings at the Gabba without having an even longer tail than you do or dropping Lyon, but he's barely bowled at all. I'm flabbergasted that the selectors seem to be admitting he's one of the six best batsmen available.
