Ganguly in his prime was a veteran exponent of off side plays

Also would like to add Viv Richards as best hitter of flat trajectory sixes

Good call. I actually saw a back foot drive from Martyn in the 2004 Champions Trophy that in the slo-mo replay appeared to roll up his bat, roll back down and still go for four.

Would have made Wally Hammond shoot his load IMO.

For forward defence - Jamie How and Sachin - in that order.

The only player in the modern game who has really stood out to me for having mastered a shot more than others is ponting with his pull shot.

Hayden was absolutely lethal on the slog sweep. Just used to take balls way outside off and hammer them.

Dravid also has a severely underrated pull shot, but only gets the chance to use it about once a year.

Ross Taylor is quite lethal with his slog sweep, though he often gets out playing that shot too.

Another one: helicopter shot - Dhoni

Reverse sweep - Andy Flower. He used play that shot often than any other batsman and rarely got out on that.

Switch hit - KP, Warner.
