It's Tough Being Me - The Kevin Pietersen Story

Yeah and humiliation from inferior players in KP's eyes which, if Brearley is correct, he won't take to. All adds up to KP never fitting into an English dressing room he isn't The Man in.

Again, let's not forget the freedom a captain tends to get in terms of team balance and selection. Under Mark Taylor, guys he didn't much like (Hayden, Martyn, Kasprowicz, Bichel, Langer) were dead but resurrected under Waugh. Guys he didn't like (Slater, Love, Symonds, Hussey, Warne) were steadfastly ignored or turfed quickly. Can go the other way with certain types; strongly believe without the fanboyism of Taylor and his brother, Mark Waugh wouldn't have played 100 Tests and Ponting has stuck with Symonds and Johnson through thick and (very) thin. The moral; if you're going to be a ****, go to the captain's BBQ's. KP has slit his own throat by dissing Strauss unless, maybe, he thinks Strauss is on the way out.

The whole thing, of course, falls over when it comes to MacGill. Snagged a decent number of Tests but no-one likes that ****.

Hate to be all srs but I feel fairly certain that Tubbs was a Chee Quee fan. After the 131 he made in a MM match (a final?), I think his his name was mentioned for the ODI side? His career tailed off after that knock, though. Reckon the ACB's natural aversion ot specialist ODI players probably put the kybosh on an international career i.e. ODI's were a path to the Test side so if you weren't headed that way or at least didn't say you were, Shield only for you.

Someone wants to tell Arthur he's coaching Australia now:

Mickey Arthur said:
I know from our last meetings with Cook and Strauss in 2008, we certainly came around the wicket to them
Struggling to let go, Michael?
