Ahhh yes, Smith v KP would be epic. Border v KP would be better. 'You f-ing send texts about me mate and you'll be on the next plane back to the Veldt'.

Yeah you couldn't imagine a bloke like Pietersen lasting more than two seconds under a guy like Border.
As you referenced, that time with Craig McDermott, he turned a a bloke from a red headed fiery quick to a little grovelling bitch in 2 seconds. Imagine what he would've done with KP.

England's Pietersen dilemma : Kevin Pietersen selection moves closer | Cricket News | India v England | ESPN Cricinfo
So apparently Cook has got a bit of maturity compared to the others involved in this saga so far, including KP himself..

But won't this eventually come down to whether KP will sign a contract that keeps him out of the 2nd half of the IPL next May? I don't think he will, actually. |

As well as whether he and Swann can be in the same room together.
If Cook could actually sort this out into a reasonable conclusion though, then it isn't a bad way to start off your captaincy reign. |

Gonna just say very quietly that he's actually quite decent as far as studio analysts go. Good on the technical stuff, good insights, doesn't seem to fall on the platitudes 101.
So he's got his post-England career lined up already

Will have to be in the IPL, because I doubt it'll be in the Sky box...
Guess it depends on whether Sky or ECB hold sway over that, but it'd be strange for a guy who was such an outsider to the dressing room to wind up as part of the TV broadcast. Maybe with Boycs then, haha. |

Nasser and Botham both seem to be firmly in Team KP anyway
