Can say that again, two days lost due to wet outfield.

Good news though...

Good news from here at Oakhill as the sun is creeping through the clouds, no overnight rain for once means a start on time at 11am! #coybig

Why do we even pay to fly these guys over, when we can get the ECB to assemble an 11-player SA "A" side from county cricket?

It looks like an Ireland A team tbh, not surprisingly most of the best Ireland players are busy with their counties this week. A few Saffers in the home team too. Not a bad effort to keep the visitors to 317-8 (100 for Kuhn), but with so much time lost the draw seems inevitable.

Great statement by Kuhn. He knows that with good performances he'll get the job.

Latest is Ireland are 111/6

Parnell has got 4 wickets this morning.

Ireland not doing their argument for future Test status much good if they're getting knocked over by Parnell.

It's nowhere close to a full strength lineup. And to be fair he has got hammered in between taking wickets.

Parnell has relearned how to bowl. He needs to keep this form going into domestic first class season.

I wouldn't be getting that excited by it in all honesty. He's still gone for plenty despite taking wickets against what is essentially Ireland A, and he's picked up a fair few tailend wickets too. Hasn't shaken the no ball problem either.

He's obviously a cricketer with a lot of natural ability and he could be anything but I wouldn't really be taking this tour as evidence of any genuine improvement in his application, tbh.
