Sixers have at least 13 players fit!

Sixers: Brad Haddin (capt), Luke Feldman, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Josh Lalor, Brett Lee, Michael Lumb, Sunil Narine, Stephen O'Keefe, Kurtis Patterson, Dan Smith, Steve Smith, Dominic Thornely (12th man to be named, one to be omitted)
Time to give Hughes, Patterson and Lalor a run if they all fit.

Michael Lumb
Daniel Hughes
Brad Haddin (c/wk)
Steven Smith
Mosies Henriques
Kurtis Patterson
Stephen O'Keefe
Dominic Thornely
Brett Lee
Josh Lalor
Sunil Narine

Lalor's rubbish in the short forms. Would rather see an underperforming Feldman play.

They should bring in Mark Higgs as injury cover.

Not too fussed either way. As long as Dan Smith doesn't play I'm happy, worst signing ever.
Yep, Dan Smith can **** off. Terrible player, especially if he isn't keeping. There's got to be ~20 grade batsmen who would be better opening options.

Smith was a decent signing because at the time they weren't sure where Haddin was at re: international level. Smith is decent keeping cover but definitely shouldn't be played as a specialist bat.

yeah there's not a lot of keeping depth in nsw currently so i don't mind d. smith as that. but as a batsman no way jose. but the sixers sorta exposed a loop-hole in injury replacements, in that you have to be injured for the whole thing. which is fine...until you've got 6 people injured or playing for aus.

Considering Sam Whiteman, Jimmy Peirson and Brad Jones weren't picked up. There were better back up keeping options who are better batsmen.

which is to say next season, they should allow replacements for players picked in international teams. maybe make it the replacement has to be on your supp list, instead of being on anyone's supp list.

Daniel Brettig @danbrettig

Usman Khawaja released to the BBL. Starc kept with squad and safe from harm ahead of Sydney Test... #cricket

big blow for the thunder

Yeah, I agree that Smith was the best NSW keeping cover available, but getting stuck with him as a specialist bat is less than ideal.

The fact that they're stuck with 13 players is somewhat poor though. Either allow larger squads across the board or let them bring in players for internationals.

Who did they replace Hazlewood with?
