RIP Don Wilson

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
His death seems to have slipped under the radar

Not quite the bowler that his illustrious predecessors were, in fact some way short, but he was still a decent bowler, and a decent coach, though he couldn't do the impossible

He had a go at coaching me just once

"Cover the spin lad, cover the spin"

I was still hopeless

"You don't know what I'm ****ing on about do you lad" he said with a smile

I had to confess I didn't

"Don't fret son, come and have a bowl instead"

Lovely guy, for a Frenchie
