You're all missing the point. Why go to Uni when you cant drink in your first year??

Na but seriously, if you finish 6th form with decent grades you can do most Diploma subjects. Maybe NZC Should try and do something like in the NRL, the Juniors have to be in some sort of training/part time work role along with playing. They probably already do.

Yeah they do. They have this young training camp thing over the winter where you get some coaching and you also have to show you're doing something for yourself outside cricket, whether that be school, uni or a regular job.

Hmmm, no Milne for CD. Are they just resting him ahead of the SAF tour, or has he broken down with injury again?

Really disappointed so many of the CD quicks are out of this match, as would have been a good gauge against a strong looking Wellington batting lineup.

Yeah, Young also impressed the radio commentators in getting 30 odd in the T20 game on Friday.

More runs for Seifert in the Gillette Cup, run out for 54. Kieran Noema-Barnett's younger brother, Arana, has got PNBS off to a flyer in response.

Gillespie/Woakes/Kuggeleijn/Patel with a bit of help from Ryder/Elliot is a decent attack as well.

Young brings up his maiden FC hundred, just about ran out of partners.

Where is Milne? Surely they didn't pick Lamb ahead of him?

Glad to see Young in the runs. He impressed me in the HRV Cup game. Nice technique, and kept his head when the rest of his team seemed to lose theirs.

Also glad to see Kuggeleijn get some wickets. He seems a very canny sort of bowler doesn't he? Nice simple technique, decent amount of pace and movement as well.

Looks like a bit of a nutter too, never a smile on his face. Love it. Looks a little funny when approaching the crease, if he can iron that out a bit he could become a real threat. Seems to take a fair bit of tap.

Yeah, it's a bit infuriating that he isn't available for NZ. I wonder if he's received any Big Bash offers?

As noted elsewhere on these forums, there's a decent chance he never will be, so best not to worry about him too much.
