adams cost them the game with the dropped catch.

Jesse was batting well for a while and looked like he actually gave a **** for a little while too.

I wish all these batsmen would stop pulling good length balls across the line. It works against average medium pacers but as soon as they try it against anyone >135k it fails horribly.

See Munro, Nicol, McCullum and Guptill occasionally...etc.

BFJ must be sick and tired of telling journalists that he's made no decision about when/if he plans on returning to the Blackcaps.

Edit: dismal fail to quote this - "Phil Mustard is the equivalent of taking home the dusty bird who's 10 years past her best because you deem it a better option than sleeping alone."

You actually say that like it's a bad thing. Come on mate, we enjoy cricket ffs, lol, what other options do we have?

The innings was lopsided but if he's going to score 97* off 70 odd balls or whatever every match by the end then it doesn't matter how he gets there. The only thing you could say would be that his really slow start put too much pressure on the other batsmen who couldn't play their normal games because of it, and that's a fair enough criticism I suppose.

Yep 97* when chasing 185 (168 when you take out the extras) certainly cost them the game...
Just because a group of people hold an opinion doesn't mean you have to cite another one...fairly safe to say you didn't see the game? He put incredible pressure on others which meant they got so far behind that no amount of consolation hitting would get them home

Grobbelar should have run himself out at the end to get mustard back on strike.
Instead he backed himself to hit the winning runs.

Good to see CD's young bowlers back on the park. When is Small scheduled to have his operation?

Outstanding figures for Duffy today (and Fuller to some extent). Twice in a row he has been given the last over in a tight finish, he won them the previous match (by one run) when he conceded just 5 of that last over, today the damage was done up front.

Certainly not afraid down in Otago to give him responsibility.

Highest score, and first t20 fifty for Neesham as well. Congrats.
