So, anyone know which potential NZ batsmen are any good in the slips?
NZ slip fielding is utterly abysmal with the sole exception of Guptill, our worst batsman. Bring back Tim McIntosh - at least he could catch |

Southee's development as a bowler may be instructive in what to do with Milne. Though would another year or two in domestix have helped Southee? It's hard to say. Quality comes out in the end. With Milne I'm probably even more concerned about injury than I was with Southee, so there's that aspect too. All in all, don't think it would be a bad idea to include Milne as a test reserve. Probably too early for a full time spot in the XI though. Last edited by straw man; 27-11-2012 at 03:00 AM. |

Sinclair got out to Blair Soper - that's all you need to know.In fact a trap was set and he was bounced out - and he did that so very Skippy thing he's been doing for years where he stands around in the hope that God calls him back on DRS.

Munro looks good for 150. He is another one sticking his hand up for the number 6 who can bowl spot.
Guptill B Mac Williamson Taylor Flynn Munro/Brownlie/Franko/Cachopa Watling + Vettori Bracewell Southee Boult Maybe.. Also congrats to Craig Cachopa on his first ton, looked hopeless when he was with the Firebirds at the start of the year. |

Eden Park is going to make heroes of plenty of batsmen and head cases of plenty of bowlers this season. It might also count against Auckland winning the Plunket Shield. They love playing there but Colin Munro Park might be a better option trophy-wise.
And I'm certain somewhere that old man Cachopa is cupping his testicles and telling anyone who will listen that 'this is where centuries come from'. |

I doubt Auckland can win unless Wellington bat terribad. I just want to see how many runs Munro can score. At this rate 300 is on the cards if he doesn't run out of partners.

Wellington with no spinner and not bowling Jesse (presumably a niggle). Not the best move.
