Basing this only on the video scorecard, but good to see some sharp quality keeping in the ND v Otago match. De Boorder standing up to Butler, also took two catches while standing up to Wells. While Fletcher took a catch standing up to the spinner ( and a smartish catch off Arnel)

Cricket: Teen punishes Northland | Northern Advocate

Northland's aspirations of winning the Fergus Hickey competition were ruined by a stunning double ton by Waikato Valley youngster Tim Seifert on Saturday.

The talented number-four batsman, who recently celebrated his 18th birthday, scored an unbeaten 230 batting for over five and half hours on a brilliant surface at Cobham Oval to sink Northland chances of pipping the Bay of Plenty for first place in the overall competition.

Also no McDougall. Who topped the tournament batting averages. Mostly due to one innings, but an unbeaten 200 might have been enough.

But, god knows the criteria anyway.
Did anyone even know this was scheduled? Not in any itinerary/schedules that I had seen.

Of the U19 players I had heard of; Duffy, O'Donnell, Seiffert, Walsh. Only one of them in the squad. Not that I think Duffy needs this extra series at this stage anyway ...

Yeah, well as Howsie was saying on Cricsim, the elevation of a freshy like Cam Fletcher was a bit of a wtf for numerous people.

Apologies to Albi for reminding him of Bono and U2 there. PM me any riffs that you wouldn't mind hearing at 120% tempo. 120% gets it past Youtube's sniffer dogs.

Nice. Like the flick of the wrist in Wheeler's release and looks like he hit the seam a fair bit. Milne getting lots of outswing with the white ball is interesting too (as was the one he swung the other way).

Yeah, good to see Milne bowling with good carry and swing again. Looks like he's close to being back to full fitness. He still has no clue how to bowl at the back end of an innings. Went for 50 off his last 5 overs.

Cricket: Indian TV riches could be lost to NZ in... | Stuff.co.nz

India look set to shorten their 2014 cricket tour of New Zealand - a move that could potentially hit New Zealand Cricket in the pocket.

The ICC's Future Tours Programme has India scheduled to play three tests, five one-dayers and a Twenty20 international in a tour next February and March - but Cricinfo has reported that the BCCI - the Indian Cricket Board - has been negotiating with NZC to trim the visit.

The website said that the tour is likely to be cut to two tests, two one-dayers and two Twenty20 internationals, as India is due to host next year's Asia Cup.

Cricinfo reported the two boards had reached an "amicable arrangement" regarding the tour has been reached. Indian tours as seen as financial boon due to the massive television rights to broadcast in the sub-continent for host nations.

Yet another summer with minimal international cricket then. Boy NZC know how to draw in the fans don't they? A handful of games per year and schedule them in the rugby season. Winner.

I'm not sure what carrot or stick NZC could've used with those ****s tbf.

The West Indies are slated to play a 1-5-3 tour from early December, so they say. For now.

After all NZC's arse kissing to the BCCI during the 2009 India tour they do this to them!

Some sexy away swing for Milne there. Seeing Wheeler live, he seemed a little bit like Johnson, without that ****ty sling and not as much pace. We need these 2 to stay fit and build fitness over the winter, they both are potentially great bowlers.
