India look set to shorten their 2014 cricket tour of New Zealand - a move that could potentially hit New Zealand Cricket in the pocket.
The ICC's Future Tours Programme has India scheduled to play three tests, five one-dayers and a Twenty20 international in a tour next February and March - but Cricinfo has reported that the BCCI - the Indian Cricket Board - has been negotiating with NZC to trim the visit.
The website said that the tour is likely to be cut to two tests, two one-dayers and two Twenty20 internationals, as India is due to host next year's Asia Cup.
Cricinfo reported the two boards had reached an "amicable arrangement" regarding the tour has been reached. Indian tours as seen as financial boon due to the massive television rights to broadcast in the sub-continent for host nations.
