If we can survive Southee, Boult, Aldridge we can smash the batting allrounders and Devcich #strawclutch

    Proudly supporting Central Districts

Yep, they've only Bracewell and the three fastest bowlers in the domestic comp. Not fearsome at all!

Look on the bright side, at least they seem to be in pretty good touch for next week.

CD coming back down to earth, probably a bit unfair having to play so soon after the Plunket Shield triumph. Good confidence boost for Boult & Southee.

To be fair to Milne, his first seven overs were rubbish, but he came back at the death and bowled two cheap overs, and picked up a couple of wickets. 64/3 isn't too bad.

So naturally the selectors pick him for ODIs and 20/20.
    Agreed.

    Agreed.

I can't believe my eyes - Ellis scored 49 from 27 balls . Didn't expect he was capable of scoring that quickly even at domestic level.

Boult just ran in, paused, announced "I'm the man" and Sinclair and How just said ok and walked off?

Rossco getting in some solid preparation here for the first test, currently working hard on the familiar 'I'm not out in my 20s, we're 5 down for less than a hundred and I'm batting with the wicketkeeper... again' scenario. A perfectionist that Rossco, having already practised the same scenario a couple other times in the previous week.

Rossco now practising single-handedly winning the match in the above situation. WAG. Just 190 to go Tayrol.

Wellington are making a decent fist of this chase. 170 off 20 overs with 9 wickets in hand is well within the realms of possibility.

Papps and Murdoch are showing why the N McCullum school of non-wicket-taking spinners is becoming obsolete.

I like Mattress, but it's Papps (I dunno if I've ever heard of Murdoch). If he is allowed to milk 5 an over during the middle overs without ever having their wicket threatened...We can do better, basically.
