    Tatenda Taibu retires at 29

    From cricinfo.

The diminutive Zimbabwean keeper batsman gives it away to do "the Lord's work".

Never had him down as a mentalist.
    - As featured in The Independent.

"This is not the time for namby-pamby promising youngsters who might just do something; not the time for building for the future. Pragmatism rules and they don't come more pragmatic than Rogers."
    - Victor Marks makes the case for stiff-legged and stiff-armed 35 year old left-handers in Ashes squads

So he'll make it up as he goes along then.

... as opposed to the many who have played international cricket with heads that they have not bothered to use?

Oh dear. I was sorry to read this. Surely he could enlist less talented cricketers to bother God whilst he continues his career to fruition?

So he's basically going to show fogies around some vintage architecture who believe they're at some sort of mecca and then give some patronising sermons. Every now and then he'll be able to sit down with some rather decrepit old fogies with more money than sense and watch Middlesex and England play cricket. I'm sure if being a tourist guide isn't enough he could coach some youth sides and help England thrash the Aussies again, what could be a more worthy calling than that?

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

The best I could think of was "Taibu retires at Tatenda age of 29"
