Any ideas for the next draft? The clause draft that the top tier are doing looks really fun, but it would probably be boring for the guy who gets relegated.

Knocking a few ideas around

Something from that alphabet thread from a few days ago, e.g. you have to pick someone whose name starts with the last letter of the last player you picked, or you have to pick all your 12 players in alphabetical order.

A draft where you can only picked players who never played a test, or players who played a maximum of x tests. Or say everyone has a maximum of (say) 150 Tests to "spend" on their team, and your 12 players must have played fewer than 150 Tests between them.

Everyone available, but the draft order for each round is determined by the batting averages of every player picked in the previous round.

Quite like the maximum number of tests idea.

When you say the draft order is determined by the batting averages of each player, what do you mean specifically?

Like all those suggestions. Particularly like the idea about players who never played a test.

Another suggestion could be only those with a batting average below 40 and (if applicable) a bowling average over 30.

An attempt to draft the worst team imaginable?

What would be the qualification? At least one test?

Drafting horrific teams is funny but it's too hard to determine a winner since most of the players are one or two match flops.

Your team must be in alphabetical order by surname. You can start anywhere is the alphabet. Or is that idea too silly?

Actually, now that I think about it - that idea would work better with more participants as you need greater competition between the key letters of the alphabet.

Okay so let's say we go with that draft idea.

Do we have to wait for someone to be "relegated" from the ongoing Clause Draft in the main league before running it?

Yes, we can only start when they finish.

Season four should be ready to start in a day or two.
