Forster. I've forgotten his first name, the bowler.

Frank Foster | Cricket Players and Officials | ESPN Cricinfo

There we go. Frank Foster, actually. Was lethal alongside Barnes, massively underrated as a result imo.

Sydney Barnes is taken but if Sydney's Sidney Barnes is still available I'll take him to join:

    Grace
    Trumper
    Spofforth
    Constantine
    Ironmonger
    Ponsford
    Mead

Number 2, 3 & 4. I'll give you a vote based on them alone. Possibly the three best batsmen to watch of all time.

Plenty of opening batsmen in there.

Yep. I understand Trumper and Ponsford were quite versatile though so at the moment I've got Trumper pencilled in for no 3 (where he averaged 86) and Ponsford in at 5 where he can readily display his expertise against the spinners.
