Best bowling attack, very good openers and keeper/cordon. On the other hand middle order lacks an alpha male. Excellent team.

Yeah, agree that the batting order just lacks someone I'd back to really stand up and dominate at this level. Very good team though. Will benefit from a 'rate the teams from best to worst' scoring system rather than a 'pick your winner' IMO.

After having my team slandered to death, I have been forced to revise my strategy
I pick Matt Prior as the best wicketkeeper batsman going around by farJager's XI (currently) 1. Alec Stewart 2. Douglas Jardine 3. Neil Harvey 4. Sachin Tendulkar 5. Dudley Nourse 6. Doug Walters 7. Matt Prior 8. Wilfred Rhodes 9. Harold Larwood 10. Curtly Ambrose 11. Waqar Younis Last edited by Jager; 18-07-2012 at 06:28 PM. |

The positives would be that it rewards an ultra-consistent mid-range team. The negatives would be that it could be very time-consuming, plus without a poll on the main page I'd imagine less people would take interest in giving their thoughts. The current system is voting on the three strongest teams out of the twelve in a poll. Does anyone have a preference/idea about this? |

Jager Meister's original concept was for the first 6 best teams to get points. I think that if we take our 6 favourite teams and rate them 1-6 then that would be an alright thing.
I don't really want to tell Andy, or whoever, that their team is the worst and should come last. Not that Andy's team IS the worst and should come last, but you get what I mean. Last edited by watson; 18-07-2012 at 07:32 PM. |
