What incredible luck.

Bill Voce played with Merchant and will be my final selection

1.Victor Trumper
2.Bob Simpson
3.Rohan Kanhai
4.Graeme Pollock
5.Tip Foster
6.Keith Miller*
7.Mattt Prior+
8.Richard Hadlee
9.Curtly Ambrose
10.Bill Voce
11.Bishan Bedi

Very happy with this side. Deep and substantial batting and an intimidating and versatile bowling attack. Reckon this side will be a match for any of the others

Yep; Marshall/Procter/Snow/Benaud/Mushtaq is a more than good enough five man attack without adding another specialist. You've given yourself the ability to pick a real gold tier gloveman without having to weaken the middle/lower order now. Even if he was such a bad bat that he batted below Marshall then your lower order would still be really strong.

Alternatively you could pick an opening batsman as you said and go in with the the greatest lower order ever.

I really like your side.

Wanted to, but couldn't find a good enough spinner from my remaining clauses.
Really looked too. Should have taken Underwood instead of Snow, then Ames with the leggie clause. But all in all happy with the team.

Was thinking that since this is only one round, some sort of structured free for all may be in order?

If we all had independent clauses then you could've done it ala the Taboo draft where everybody messages Jager the player they want from their clause and if you're the only person who wants that player then you succeed, if somebody else wants the same player try again. But that won't work for the people who have the "dismissed or dismissed by the player before" clause.
