I have couple of more head crushing opening bowlers in my mind :D but yeah you are right! Steyn was waiting for a lethal partner...

Mushtaq Mohammad

Been waiting 3 rounds to play this guy but felt I needed some specialist batsman under my belt to be 'safe'.
Simpson was my 'insurance leggie' in case someone else picked Mushtaq up. Now I have 3 spinners bowling into the rough just outside the right-handers leg-stump :)

1. Bob Simpson
2.
3. Rohan Kanhai
4. Greg Chappell
5. Mushtaq Mohammad
6
7. Alan Knott
8. Hedley Verity
9. Andy Roberts
10.Michael Holding
11.Glen McGrath

Yeah, I am satisfied with the batting line up. A decent 3rd quick will make my bowling look formidable as well...

Looking at all the teams thus far KK - I'd say you're definitely in the running for one of the top three medals.

Surprised you took Mushtaq Mohammad, watson. I was actually planning on picking him in the latter rounds.

Sorry about picking your man Jager, but hey, great minds think alike :lightbulb

However, I do think that your vacant No.7 spot would be wasted on his batting talent as it's too low. Most of his career for Pakistan was spent at No.4 or 5. Indeed, his double century against a young Richard Hadlee was at No.4 and his best hundred against the Windies in Trinidad was at No.5.

But you probably knew all that anyway.

(Incidently, I have no idea who to choose as my last middle-order batsman. Having 12 in a draft is certainly more tricky than just 9. Luck and timing is everything.)

Hahaha yeah, it was more of a 12th man sort of plan after I chose Walters over him (easy decision tbh). I plan to scour my mind for a batting colossus to bat at 7 now.

Batting Colossus? That'll be Andrew Hilditch who had his left shoulder pointing toward gully.

BTW Kyear should be having breakfast somewhere in the West Indies right about now. Hashish browns washed down with a glass of rum.
