Building a XI from the best of each decade

bagapath

International Captain
After merging the world war affected decades (1910s and the 1940s) with the earlier and subsequent chunks, and clubbing the first three years of test cricket with the 1880s, here is a team made up of players who dominated the respective decades. See if you can build a similar XI without using these names.

WG Grace - 1877 to 1889
Jack Hobbs - 1920s
Don Bradman (C) - 1930s
Everton Weekes - 1945 to 1959
Gary Sobers - 1960s
Adam Gilchrist (wk) - 2000s
Imran Khan - 1980s
Wilfred Rhodes - 1900 to 1914
Shane Warne - 1990s
Dennis Lillee - 1970s
George Loahmann - 1890s

Compton only played eight games in the 30's, is that still enough?

Nice team. You broke the rules of the thread, though, by picking players already chosen by OP.

just switch the decades for compton and headley and make it headley from the 30s and compton from 45 to 59. the team is fine then,
