Good effort from the boys, Bell playing it really well so far, Prior a bit more attacking but non the less a fine effort. These 2 NEED to see out the new ball if we are to have any chance, that's SA's big weapon and if we can see it off, their heads might drop a little.

Well we need to A see off the new ball and B get in front. If we manage both then they may start to get a bit jittery, as it is they can sit in knowing they have the new ball coming soon and if they get a wicket before then great, if not we will still be about 30 behind anyway so no real panic for them.

At least Bell and Prior have given us a chance though.

Hopefully we can keep at 3 rpo until the new ball. With a bit of luck we can wipe out the deficit this session, and as I said last night that will turn up the pressure on the Saffas. No doubt someone will start spouting the runs count double bollocks at that point.

Bloody Sky and their "entertaining and informative lunchtime features". Was gonna mow my lawn in the break.

Yeah, I love this kind of cricket.

Bell is showing the rest of the England top order how to fight.

    Awesome stuff.

Don't know if the best idea for Prior is to rein himself in when the new ball becomes available or to continue how he's going, you always feel though if he goes too into his shell he'll get one with his name on.

Just bat normally. It's not like every second ball is rolling on the floor.

This. Get a bad ball/no ball hit it for 4. It is what he has done well so far. Just needs to sort the running out with Bell.

Amazed Duminy is opening up after lunch unless it is just to switch Tahir's end. I'd have gone Steyn for 3 then Kallis till new ball with Tahir at other end.
