This is lways a "wrong" thread TBH, I feel vaguely dirty for starting it.

if he get's the gig, and things **** up he'll be in prime form and no excuses, then we can draw a line through him and look elsewhere..

I think some of the times he's been called up he hasn't been in form at all.

Probably not in test cricket. he's barely played since the 2009 Ashes has he? iirc a couple of tests against India and that's all.
