Why did the umpire not issue a caution or a reprimand in this particular case?

After yet another successful and exiting IPL tournament, I am truly hooked on T20, and I need to congratulate the KKR with there successful campaign.
Perhaps you might find the following article insightful
(IPL 2012 season review: The IPL earns its cricket cred | Cricket Features | Indian Premier League 2012 | ESPN Cricinfo) as a conclusion to the IPL.

The 1-Day and 5-Day Test matches have their merit and should most definitely stay!
Umpires do seem more relaxed in the IPL games, which leads me to my concern. During the matches, I noticed MS Dhoni batting without wearing a helmet. He does have a handsome face, and I most definitely donít want any of those fast balls hitting him on the head.

Should this not be part of the whole kit batsmen are supposed to wear during a game especially in T20 matches?
Why were umpires giving warnings to wicket keeper for not wearing their entire gear?
    Keep those yorkers coming!

Because the protective gear is generally a matter of choice.

See Michael Clarke against India at Sydney.
