The ATG World XI's game

Archie Jackson - An incredibly talented young batsman whose life was tragically cut short at 23. We can only speculate how he would have gone had his health stayed with him; but some suggested he was just as naturally talented as Bradman.
Vijay Hazare

Wilfred Rhodes

Batting votes
A Jackson- I rate him very highly. Harsh on Hassett and Hazare, but was said to be a superhuman talent.
Jardine- an all-time legend for his captaincy alone. His batting was also excellent but often overlooked.

Spin vote
Lock- essentially half of the second-greatest spin pairing in history.

Batsman 4 and 5

Jardine 3
Abbas 2
Waugh 1
Jayawardene 4
Hazare 3
Archie Jackson 5
Richardson 4
Hassett 1
Clarke 1
Yousuf 1
De Silva 1

Cowdrey vs Richardson vs Jayawardene is difficult. I originally went for Cowdrey, but there are certain aspects of Mahela's record which I like better. For instance his ability to make big scores and his excellent record against two strong bowling outfits South Africa and England. His record against Australia is mediocre, but its the same as Cowdrey's record. Richardson was good too, but I think he's a great chance at the number 3 spot in the next team.

I'm not sure where everyone would bat Rhodes in this lineup and it makes it interesting to see what type of Cricketer people vote for alongside the keeper. I'm thinking an all rounder might be the go.

1) Select a keeper
2) Select the final player for the World K XI

Suggested wicket keepers
Wasim Bari, Jack Blackham, Mark Boucher, MS Dhoni, Godfrey Evans, Wally Grout, Jackie Hendriks, Prasanna Jayawardene, Syed Kirmani, Rashid Latif, Rodney Marsh, Bert Oldfield, Adam Parore, Matt Prior, Jack Russell, Ian Smith, Alec Stewart, Bob Taylor

Alec Stewart
Mushtaq Mohammed

(I like the idea of a left arm orthodox and a talented leggie bowling in tandem. Also, Mushtaq's batting average was 39.17 with 10 test centuries. Good enough for a number 6, especially if followed by Stewart and Flintoff)

Jager are you happy enough to take over the next few teams? I'll be fine from next Friday to take over again, I'm guessing we'll only have 1 team to go by then.

Woah, definitely forgot about Mushy. Did a fair bit of reading on him a while ago but I never realised how good he was.

EDIT: Yup, I'll take the next few.
