The ATG World XI's game

Fair enough. I have concerns about Flower's keeping but I can understand the benefits to the batting lineup if your two batsman get selected.

I was just having a quick look at our recently conducted 50 Greatest Cricketers of all time, Botham is the only Cricketer who finished in the top 25 who hasn't featured yet.

Neil Harvey and Farohk Engineer

Harvey the best strokeplayer left in the list, in the to compliment a batting lineup that looks a wee bit dour at this stage. I would've liked Worrell as 5th bowler (voted for him last time) but that's because I forgot we had Grace there.

I don't think Davdson would go well at #7 here, so this isn't the lineup to include "specialist" keepers like Evans or Tallon. Bit of a toss-up between Engineer, Lindsay and Healy.

This has passed me by - apologies to anyone who cares - Engineer and McCabe get my votes
Would want to know how you rate Grace's bowling. Do you think we need someone like Kapil Dev or Ian Botham in the side when we have a 5th bowler like Grace?

Fred, I care.

I thought about this when basing my decision but figured that Grace would struggle with the demands of opening the batting and bowling against so many other wonderful cricketers. I picked Botham to add some panache to the team.

Grace and Border combine to make a fine fifth bowling option, IMO.
You mean Steve Waugh?

Cricketer Of The Year
Walcott was a better keeper than Flower, especially to spin.

Frank Worrell
Clyde Walcott

Was going to vote for Walcott and Faulkner, but that would have been a wasted vote as Faulkner has 0 votes so far.

Once this is done, and you start votes for the 5th side - please list all 4 sides...

Walcott wins the wicketkeeping slot and Botham steals the final batting position, which suprisingly leaves us with five bowlers (against what was voted for originally).

The question of 4 or 5 quicks was always going to be difficult to answer early on. I'm happy with our two choices today, but I can understand if others might not be.

There really isn't much between the last 3 sides that we've named at all!
