I guess im an all rounder, but havent been bowling much lately. Prolly more of a batsman these days.
In the one dayers i like to open the batting and in the longer form bat at 5,6 or 7. highest score is 90.
Bowl a bit of medium pace, use to be quicker than i am now though, best bowling was 6/20.
and im a gully/point specialist in the field.

Im a bowling allrounder , bat left handed at number 7 or 8 , my highest score was 88 last year & my strike rate overall this season is over a run a ball , Im a bit of a slogger really.

Im a left arm opening bowler , very quick for my age , my best in grade cricket is 5-44 in , in juniors cricket its 7-14.

I feild at gully.

Im only just recovering from a hamstring injury now so Im playing a few grade lower than normal (5ths) as an opening batsman.

All-rounder applies to my girth - I'm afraid I combined the various dietary attributes of Blackwell and Flintoff with the running skills od Inzamam.

Mind you, there was a batsman who played for England who was fatter than me - Colin Milburn, and he could give the ball a frightful bash.

I consider myself a genuine allrounder, because I don't bat better than I bowl or bowl better than I bat. I like to open the batting, because I take a little while to settle in. Generally I bowl pace, but recently my knee has been acting up and I've been developing my offspin. I can get a tennis to ball to turn a good deal on concrete.

Bowling all-rounder. Bat at number 7, give it a slog, and make 20 or 25 in no time, before spoiling it all by getting out. But my form last summer was not good with the bat: Avg: 7 :(

Leg spinner, best bowling 8/31

i'm an all-rounder,but IMO i'm a much better batsman than a bowler...I'm quick, but that's it...I can't put the ball where i want to or nething! lol...i usually get my wickets by blasting em out...but once i bowled this AWESOME inswinging yorker that waqar would b proud off! but meh, that never happned again...i can't even swing the ball! lol

You mean like Waqar Younis...bowls brilliant inswinging yorkers, then bowls 2 beamers in a row...apparently not deliberately

Fair enough :)

I started this season well, but I've been derailed and demoralized. I just can't get the ball right anymore. Plus I don't have a lot of tricks up my sleeve (as in any).
For the batting, my team has the notion that I can bat well, so they stuck me in opening (for lack of a real batsman) and its opening that I have further had my confidence shattered. It's too much for my return to cricket after a few years.

I can field really really well though. I don't drop catches, and I'm definitely an above average fielder, so I enjoy my time out there! :cool2:
At the moment I'm square leg specialist.

By developing my offspin as well as my pace, I have developed a good slower ball which I use regularly (albeit in my short bowling spells).

To my knowledge, you don't need a hell of a lot of pace to swing the ball. Has anyone got ANY tips for anything i can bowl other than pies?

they weren't consecutive beamers actually...there was another ball inbetween if i remember correctly! and don't dis waqar,he was gr8 in his day, the best bowler in the world at the time...and one of the best bowlers EVER!!!

yeah,i know u don't have 2 b fast 2 swing the ball, infact, it's supposed to swing less the faster u bowl...But i can't swing the ball no matter what speed i bowl at...but on some days i swing it heaps, and then i have to bowl "cross-seam" coz i can't control it... I think it has mroe to do with the weather and the ball on those days...coz otehrwise y doesn't it swing at all on some days?
