All-time T20 XI

WindieWeathers

International Regular
Personally i believe Narine needs to be in there, he was a revelation in the 2011 champions league, then caused havoc in the IPL which lead to him winning the 'best player' award and then he came up trumps when we needed him in the t20 world cup, so he's actually proven himself across all major t20 competitions which i'm not sure Mendis has (has he played in the champions league yet?) .

Great line-up but who is harvey?
and I'd probably go with someone else instead of Dussey
Warner at 3, KP at 4 perhaps

actually Symonds instead of KP too.

Ian Harvey probably, but he never played international T20 so it's a weird selection.

Without that much though...

1. Gayle
2. Warner
3. Watson [3]
4. Pietersen
5. Symonds [7]
6. McCullum+
7. Yuvraj Singh [6]
8. Vettori [4]
9. Steyn [1]
10. Umar Gul [2]
11. Mendis [5]

PS: This is restricted to international T20. cbf looking at all T20 stats.

I have picked based on all 20-20 , but I have given precedence to international games

Having kp instead of pollard in my lineup might not be a bad idea

Yep, Ian Harvey indeed. I was going with Domestic T20 stats primarily, hence Dussey and Harvey featuring in the XI.

Freak would have been awesome in T20is. Hard-hitting batsman and a gun medium pacer with a wicked slower ball.

Actually looked at Harvey's stats and they were pretty good (although I feel his ER was on the high side). Probably not good enough for this though.

How can people pick Bradman?

I know he was an absolute statistical monster, but he was known for his ability to knock around singles to every hole conceivable in the field, like a surgeon...

He only hit 6 6's in his entire career, and was known for keeping it on the ground......

T20 is a brute of a game, where often a batsman has to purely smash the ball out of the park to get themselves out of small holes in the game and RR.

Bradman would struggle in T20 imo, much the same as Michael Clarke does......

Sehwag, Warner and Gayle are must haves in any side......

Kleusner would of been an absolute monster in the game, and T20 was essentially made to capatalise on modern batsmen like Adam Gilchrist and Andrew Symonds.........

With a mix of the old and the new.

Verinder Sehwag
David Warner
Chris Gayle
Viv Richards
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Symonds
Adam Gilchrist
Lance Kluesner
Wasim Akram
Jeff Thompson
Muttiah Muraliduran

i think it's probably safe to say the changes in how many overs he can face would lead to a change in how bradman bats. he didn't mind hitting sixes in the levels below test cricket

There's little problem with Bradman batting aggressively if he needed to. His SR was also 60, which is pretty damn good particularly given when he batted.
