All-time T20 XI

Agent Nationaux

International Coach
Hollioake was a very good player. I used to support Surrey when it was him, Stewart, Butcher and Saqlain in the team. He was also a good England captain.

Cricketer Of The Year
My choice, though largely biased towards the more capped players, as also bowling strike rates and batting centuries.
  • Trescothick
  • Gilchrist
  • Pietersen
  • Dave Hussey
  • Raina
  • Rohit Sharma
  • Afridi (LBG)
  • Napier (RFM)
  • Vettori (SLA)
  • Malinga (RF)
  • Nannes (LF)

You can easily be justified for a slot in an ATG ODI XI, that's for sure. Would you choose him over Gilchrist?

The Tiger King
yes I will choose Dhoni over Gilchrist.......

he is amazing in ODIs.

Scores quickly and has played many match winning knocks.....one of the best finishers since Michael Bevan and very good runner between the wickets too......has done enough IMO to be THE wk of choice in ODIs

Yup, I certainly agree. Gilchrist was a lot more 'hit and miss' whereas Dhoni is a pretty magnificent and reliable finisher!

I think the idea of Dhoni as a finisher is important, because Gilchrist, like so many other top T20 batsmen is a top order player, whereas Dhoni isn't, giving you a much better balance.

Swann does have exceptional T20 statistics, I just looked them up. Good observation, Vettori is damn good as well.

Bump.

Watson enters the fray now, alongside Yuvraj and a plethora of spinners. Keeping options still leave much to be desired.
