I'm going to Hamilton tonight and staying to watch day 3 and day 4, at the very least there better be a decent amount of cricket for me to watch tomorrow ffs. These two need to survive until stumps if only for my sake.

Does anyone else reckon it looks like Williamson is using one of those old $40 Kashmir willow bats (that's what I used to have in the mid-90s anyway) because it's so light coloured?

Here's the part of the innings where we all start getting optimistic before it all comes crashing down again.

God it'd be awesome if Williamson makes a name for himself with a great knock in this test.

Really don't get the Tahir hype. Think about the only thing he brings to the game is over-exhuberant celebreations.

Yeah; pie-chucker. I was originally pretty sceptical of him but he really surprised me with the accuracy and control of variation he showed in the World Cup (even though I think South Africa's fascination with him playing all the time meddled with their balance in such a drastic way that it was the prime cause for their underperformance) so I was willing to give him some time to win me over in Tests but he's been pretty rubbish so far.

Tahir is kinda like Vettori innit? Gives "the other one" a rip but when he attempts to bowl his stock ball it's invariably gun-barrel?
