***Official*** South Africa in New Zealand 2012

It was an excellent toss to win but SA batted poorly and made the conditions look worse. For eg. they were cruisng until Smith played a silly shot. If SA lose this test and series, his place will be in jeopardy. He's hated by his own fans.

They also looked to be undercooked due to no practice matches but they've shot themselves in the foot like that going into most series in the past few years, so it's par for the course. Getting Kirsten hasn't changed that mindset.

If NZ can get a lead of 100+ they will put pressure on the rusty Saffers. And their tail starts at seven because of the awful Boucher.

The toss backfired tbh. We thought the clouds would mean swing and we got none.

Then it randomly hooped around in bright sunshine.

Except that SA probably would have bowled first too and it might have suited them more. With four of their six batsmen not really acclimatised it probably would have been better to ease them into the match without facing the music first.

Had they clicked though, Taylor might have been wearing blushes.
