Basically that's what we have when it comes to playing short ball well. Add de Silva and Sathasivam to it, and that is all we had for last 75+ years who are good against short stuff. When this generation retires, It's scary to think what will fast bowlers do against SL batsmen.

turns out SLC reckon locking out the players is the way to go.

Some of the clauses are ridiculous. - Cutting existing ICC bonuses that players already receive,Freezing payments to players with IPL contracts, despite the board already getting a cut out of the IPL money from the BCCI.

All this after the SLC sold their TV rights to a company owned by Rajpaksa's(President) son for an amount less than what their previous year's rights fetched. To add to that the SLC recieved money from the ICC for hosting the world cup and also organized the SLPL. Players are being made to pay for the money the officials swindled away

Give them benefits they ask, because they don't steal public money like cricket admins, but empower the contract so they can be dealt for a period even after retirement. Then greedy bastards cannot retire for IPL contracts.
